Objects from the National Palace Museum, the National Central Library, and National Taiwan University Library are used to read Dream of the Red Chamber through the things in the novel. Three sections look at the refined material culture of the Jia household, the foreign goods in the book and the fashion for Western imports at the Qing court, and how objects shape the characters of its women. In Room 203 of Exhibition Area I.
