Taipei Art Awards
臺北美術獎
The open-call art award the Taipei Fine Arts Museum has held every year without a break since it opened in 1983.
01About
Entries are open to any medium and any size. In the 2024 edition, for example, anyone of Republic of China nationality or holding a residence permit could enter, with work completed after 2022. Judging runs in three stages, and the finalists realise their proposals in the museum's galleries, so the finalists' exhibition is itself the last round of the award. The first prize was NT$550,000, with an invitation from the museum to hold a solo exhibition, and each merit prize NT$120,000. The 2026 award has ten finalists. Chen Chao-hua won first prize in 2023; his solo exhibition at the museum takes the award itself as its subject.
