Passing through an elusive illusion, I move toward an invisible truth

Son Minjeong uses thread as her sculptural medium, pulling it taut, crossing it and layering it again and again, so that tension and slack, sparse and dense surfaces sit together. She relates this to Timothy Morton's idea of the hyperobject, something too large for human senses to grasp whole yet deeply bound up with life, and says the work finally points toward her faith in God.
