Permanent and special exhibitions
상설전과 특별전
Many museums distinguish ongoing permanent displays from special exhibitions with set dates.
01About
A permanent display does not mean that every object stays forever. The National Museum of Korea says its permanent displays rotate works because of loans and conservation, while its special-exhibition listings give each show a start date, end date, and location. Check admission separately as well: that museum has both free and paid special exhibitions, and the Seoul branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art sells tickets by planned exhibition.
02In the gallery
Check the dates and admission first, then compare how the two exhibitions select, group, and sequence their works.

Start with dates and selection when comparing permanent and special exhibitions.
