About

Tokyo Art Anthology gathers the art exhibitions on now in Tokyo into one place, in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, so you can find one worth seeing, add it to your calendar, and actually go.

Where the listings come from

Tokyo has no public open data for exhibitions, so the Anthology editors enter the facts (title, dates, admission) by hand from each museum's official website. We cover about 30 museums and art centers for now.

Every day we check those museums' websites for new exhibition pages and add new shows by hand, so a new exhibition can take a few days to appear.

Every exhibition links to the museum's own page. Details can change, so please check with the venue before you go.

Picks and paid placements

Editors' picks are chosen by the Anthology editorial team. Paid placements, if any, are always labeled as such and never presented as picks.

Translation

Exhibition titles and venue names are machine-translated with DeepL. The Japanese original is always shown alongside, because names in particular can be translated wrongly. Museum names in English follow each museum's own English name.

Tokyo listings have no images.
