New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum

Chinese original:

新北市立鶯歌陶瓷博物館

It opened on November 26, 2000, as Taiwan's first professional museum devoted to ceramics. The building is a grey frame of exposed concrete and steel with large glass curtain walls that bring in daylight, and a big water wall and pool above the entrance steps. It has three floors above ground and two below: the second-floor permanent exhibition has four sections, the third floor holds the special exhibition rooms, and the second basement is a ceramics workshop. The museum hosts international artists in residence, has sister museums in Germany and Spain, and hosted the International Academy of Ceramics' world congress in 2018.
