The exhibition is organised by MoNTUE and the Kanazawa Craft Council, with Kanazawa City as co-organiser, and is subtitled “A Centennial Dialogue with the Kanazawa Crafts Association.” The museum’s preview page lists 43 craftspeople from Japan and 40 from Taiwan. It runs at MoNTUE from 14 November 2026 to 21 February 2027.

01About
Kanazawa City treats craft as more than one category. Its craft plan sorts works broadly into three kinds: art craft, which seeks artistic expression while keeping function; industrial craft, made in quantity by craftspeople and sold to many users; and life craft, made in small numbers by individual makers for everyday use. Six crafts are nationally designated traditional crafts, including Kaga yuzen, Kutani ware, and Kanazawa gold leaf, and the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop trains makers in ceramics, lacquer, dyeing, metalwork, and glass. The Kanazawa Craft Council began in 1925 as a design research group and has continued to connect the inheritance of tradition with the development of craft. Confluence is organised jointly by MoNTUE and the Kanazawa Craft Council.
