01About

Typography, imagery, and layout are its basic elements. Typography shapes and arranges type, with typeface, size, and spacing; imagery uses pictures, ornament, and graphics to carry ideas and feelings; layout arranges text and images on a page or screen, often on a grid. An AIGA teaching curriculum says that design is not decoration but problem solving, that graphic design is seldom a literal picture of an object and more often an abstract image carrying a larger idea, and that a designer aims beyond getting the message across, to stir the viewer's thinking and feelings. The C-GRAPHIC/TAIPEI exhibition at NOKE presents Taipei's graphic design of the 2020s through 15 designers and design groups from the generation born in the 1980s and 1990s.
