A festival that opens historic and modern buildings across Kyoto for a limited time, with guided tours. It began in 2022; in 2026 about 150 buildings in 13 areas take part. Buildings covered by the passport can be visited on four days, 31 Oct–1 Nov and 7–8 Nov, while tours and other programs run on separate dates during the festival. There is no single venue; each building has its own address.
