Taipei Collectible Botanical Garden
Chinese original:
臺北典藏植物園
A greenhouse botanical garden in the Xinsheng area of Taipei Expo Park, housed in a diamond-rated green building. Built around people, plants and the environment, it arranges plants from across Taiwan by climate and region into a miniature of the island's ecology; the garden calls itself Taiwan's exhibition greenhouse with the most species per unit of area. Its sections cover Taiwanese native plants, tropical and subtropical plants, orchids and ferns, succulents, and temperate and alpine plants, and the temperate section also shows begonia varieties provided by Professor Peng Ching-I of Academia Sinica. Nearly 500 species are on display.
